28 June 2024, Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. Kanwar Pal directed the officers to quickly take steps to construct new buildings of the Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation and the Mini Secretariat at the subdivision level in Jagadhri.
Mr. Kanwar Pal chaired the meeting with officers in Chandigarh today. MLA, Mr. Ghanshyam Das Arora was also present during the meeting.
The Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister said that land for the new office building of the Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation will be acquired from the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board. He directed the officers to complete the formalities for converting this available land soon.
He further stated that this building will be constructed in front of the Yamunanagar Deputy Commissioner’s office, making it convenient for citizens to visit the Municipal Corporation office.
He also directed the officers to quickly construct the mini secretariat building for the Jagadhri subdivision, so that the citizens do not have to visit different offices for their small and essential tasks. All government offices will be housed in a single building. This Mini Secretariat will be constructed on available land near the RTA office in Ward No. 1 of Jagadhri, the Minister added.
Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture, and Farmers’ Welfare Department Mr. Ankur Gupta, Commissioner, Haryana Urban Local Bodies Department, Mr. Vikas Gupta, Chief Administrator, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Mr. Mukesh Ahuja and other officers remained present during the meeting.
