Dr. Himanshu Pathak visits ICAR-KVK, Port Blair

10 May 2024, Port Blair: Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR), visited ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Port Blair today.

Dr. Pathak, urged for climate-resilient technology to carefully integrate with Andaman’s fragile ecosystem, preserving its innate beauty and intensifying efforts to increase agri-entrepreneurs in the country. He applauded ICAR-KVK’s role in improving the lifestyle of the farming communities, despite logistical limitations.

Dr. V.B. Patel, Assistant Director General (Fruits & Plantation Crops) ICAR, Dr. E.B. Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair and Dr. Pradip Dey, Director, ICAR- Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Kolkata, were also present during the programme.

An exhibition of the products of ICAR-KVK was also organised during the programme.
