Dr. T.R. Sharma Assumes Additional Charge as Director of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI)

01 July 2024, New Delhi: The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi has announced that Dr. T.R. Sharma, Deputy Director General (Crop Science) at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has assumed additional charge as the Director of IARI, New Delhi. Dr. Sharma takes over from the former Director, Dr. Ashok K. Singh.

The handover ceremony was marked by the presence of members of the IARI leadership team, including Joint Director (Research) Dr. Chinnusamy Vishwanathan, Dean and Joint Director (Education) Dr. Anupama Singh, and Joint Director (Extension) Dr. R.N. Padaria.

Dr. T.R. Sharma has worked extensively in the field of agricultural science, with a significant contribution to crop science and plant biotechnology research and development.
