National workshop on ‘Generative AI tools for Agriculture’ concludes at ICAR-NAARM

01 July 2024, New Delhi: The national workshop on ‘Generative AI tools for Agriculture” organised by ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad, from 26th-28th June 2024 concluded today.

The programme highlighted the potential of Generative AI in transforming agriculture by enhancing efficiency, productivity, and sustainability. Participants were given theory and practical sessions on various AI tools and software. The programme, combining lectures from academicians and industry professionals, provided a comprehensive understanding of the technology. It also equipped participants with the skills to analyze real-time data independently.

In his valedictory address, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad, emphasised the transformative potential of Generative AI in agriculture, particularly stressing the need for responsible AI practices. He urged the participants to actively engage in ICAR-NAARM’s think tank, aiming to harness their expertise to innovate and enable sustainable agricultural solutions.

A staggering 48 participants attended the programme.
