Mahindra launches New Tractor OJA 2121 in Madhya Pradesh
24 June 2024, Madhya Pradesh: Mahindra Tractors launched its lightweight tractor Mahindra OJA 2121 in Madhya Pradesh. The new Mahindra OJA delivers exceptional results in puddling operations for crops like paddy. With the successful debut of this tractor, Mahindra is looking forward to a healthy demand for this product in the upcoming Kharif season.
Introducing a paradigm shift in the world of tractor design, the new OJA 2121 empowers farmers to achieve more, as it revolves around key attributes like robustness, progressiveness and unmatched functionality, setting new benchmarks for modern farming equipment. Designed to handle diverse agricultural tasks with stability and traction, the new OJA 2121 comes with 4WD as standard, is lightweight, and is built to deliver cutting-edge performance.
Engineered with a 3-cylinder, powerful 3DI 21hp engine @2400 RPM and PTO power at 13.42 kW (18 HP), the OJA provides class-leading power delivery and operational efficiency, with a segment-first constant mesh gearbox configuration with synchro shuttle (optional) and transmission of 12 Forward + 12 Reverse gears. The advanced gear system, with multiple reverse gears, enables farmers to work faster and comfortably on smaller farms.
With a hydraulic lift capacity of 950 kg the new OJA 2121 tractor enables farmers to perform optimally for all interculture work in crops like sugarcane, cotton and other row crops with enhanced manoeuvrability courtesy the OJA’s smooth power steering system. Premium to touch and feel ensures that farmers take pride in their ownership, with the OJA 2121 boasting an optimal overall height, providing farmers with better visibility and a 360-degree view of their work and implements. With significant emphasis on reducing NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), ease of service, and enhanced safety during operation, while allowing longer hours of operation.
The new Mahindra 4WD OJA 2121 is competitively priced within a range of ₹7.35 lakh in Madhya Pradesh and features Mahindra’s OJA’s advanced technology packs – PROJA and MYOJA, boasting several key advantages that elevates the tractor performance and user experience.
Derived from the Sanskrit word “Ojas”, meaning Powerhouse of Energy, the new Mahindra 4WD OJA 2121 is based on the new Mahindra OJA series recently launched by Mahindra Tractors, Mahindra’s most ambitious global lightweight tractor platform. Developed in collaboration between the engineering teams of Mahindra Research Valley, India, the R&D centre for Mahindra in India and Mitsubishi Mahindra Agriculture Machinery, Japan, the new OJA range brings about a transformative shift in Light Weight 4WD Tractor design and engineering, to deliver cutting-edge innovation in tractor technology.
After kickstarting its exciting journey in India, the OJA range will subsequently be launched in North America, ASEAN, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Europe and the SAARC region. Mahindra will also mark its debut in the ASEAN region starting with Thailand in 2024 with the OJA. The Mahindra OJA tractor range is exclusively manufactured at Mahindra’s state-of-the-art tractor facility in Zaheerabad, Telangana, one of India’s largest and most advanced tractor manufacturing plants.
